Just FYI: this case fits the Ipod Touch 3g as well as the 2g. It's also totally baller. I love it.

Works as expected. You will not be able to insert into a I-pod dock as outterbox cover makes I-pod to large. You will need a dock extender cable. Cable Jive brand will not work with outterbox. the connecter end is too large. choose another brand like Link Pro.

I just bought an ipod touch (3rd generation), and the case that they convinced me to get at the store did not seem sufficient to me - it was a silicone case, didn't seem secure, things could easily get between the case and my great new device, and I wouldn't feel confident putting it in my purse and knowing it wouldn't be damaged.
So I did some online searching and found a recommendation for this product for the iphone. It's only $1 more than the silly silicone cases I got at the store (and have since returned), but it's spades above! It's very easy to put on, and I love the combination of the hard case covered with the protective cover, so it's still comfortable to hold. It adds a small amount of extra weight to it, but not much and it's worth it for the peace of mind in knowing that my itouch is now very well protected. I would recommend this to anyone, and will be looking to see what else they offer cases for that I might need!

It's hard to beat the Otterbox Defender cases, period. I have one for my Blackberry and one for my ipod and love them.

The otterbox is on the verge of being a great product. For all intents and purposes, it adds a level of protection to your iPod and that it does completely, while allowing full use of the iPod without having to remove it from the product itself. The only con that I can see with this product is what I can see. A bubbly look over my screen where the protective film is touching in certain areas and failing to touch in others. This also can cause some moments of frustration because one cannot get the contact that one needs with the screen to operate the iPod correctly therefore it requires added pressure to press or slide a button, if you will. Great idea, but I believe it still needs some tweaking. I'll use it for now, though
