Really not bad for the price. My only gripe is that the touchscreen is a little unresponsive, but you get the hang of it after a while. Great sound quality, good video, and the conversion software is quick.

I was very reluctant to buy this one after seeing some of those reviews on Amazon. But, I really like the feature and price of it. Needless to say, I took the risk and bought one. Now, I am glad I did. it has everything I needed. The product comes in a very nice designed box with the company's logo. It says MP5 on the box. Asked the seller about that and they said the model has been upgraded in the last a few weeks. Now, they are shipping out the upgraded model that plays more video formats and has faster processor. That has been proved to be true. I loaded flv files from youTube and some avi video clips downloaded from the internet, it played very well. No conversion at all. I tired to put a movie that I bought from a website on it. It did not work. Later I learned that the movie I purchased is license protected and would not play. That explains.
Music function is great. It sorts the music for you based on ID3 information. Photos are displayed in thumbnail manner. I found that large photos take long time to load. I just make the photo smaller and it works very well. I need to find a software that can downsize photos in batch. Now, it is very painful if I want to put my photo collection of thousands on it. I like the FM feature. Not a big fan of text reader. I don't read on small screen anyway. Still like paper books. :)
Overall, this is more than what I have expected. Very nice. Those people who are complaining about the product and functions might have got the older version, my guess. Or maybe I am lucky. :)

After a couple months of use this thing fell apart .Its extremely fragile one drop on a carpeted floor . Their something lose in the inside and its dead . don't buy this plz .

Touch screen barely works. And by "works" I mean you have really press down on the screen with the stylus (pen). There's really no way of keeping track of the stylus as there is no clip-on on the player. You will lose it. I could deal with the touch screen being flakey until it totally just stopped working after a day later. There was still video on the screen, but the screen would not register that I was pressing on it. Yes, the hold/lock button was off and I even tried the reset button. Limited play back functionality and very little instructions were provided with the product.
At best, the product works as a flash drive for storing files as there are no drivers required. It comes up as a removable drive in Windows XP/Vista.
You are better off just saving your money on this overpriced product.

i bought my mp3/4 about a week ago and super fast delivery, but i had to charge it rite away for about 5 hours before it would work at all. and then i havent had any problems accept one. the outside speaker went silent. you can hear it a very very little bit but only if you put it up to your ear and there is no other noise around you in your house. but other wise very good.oh one more clue for you with your stilus dont push hard on the screen just very very light taps ok and if any one can help me with the speaker problem thanks.
