I'm a snob about keeping my gadgets scratch free, so pretty much everything I get had Invisible Shield attached. However, I've been moving away from them just because they're pricier than Best Skins Ever. I'm not trying to be too much of a cheapo, but when you've got a compulsion to protect gadgets, saving $10+ here and there makes a real savings.
The Invisible Shield does a good job at keeping it scratch free. My iPod touch is in my pocket next to my phone or wallet or keys, depending on the order it's placed in. Naturally, gadgets + keys = scratches.
The skin itself seems to be a bit short, and I had to stretch to cover the length of the front and thus making it a bit thinner in the middle to protect the screen. I just thought I got one that fell outside of the manufacturer's tolerance by a hair or two but I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like they don't cover the entire gadget. The installation is easy BUT if you want to do it right you really need a third hand or more dexterity than I have.
Overall it's held up well - the skin does offer a lifetime warranty and I haven't needed to use that on the dozen or so things I have protected yet.
Cheapskate tip: If you order Invisible Shield products, you'll get a lot of the adhesive that they use to affix the Shield to your product. Keep that and buy the more inexpensive third party skins if you want to save some cash.

It would be hard to rank a perfect 5 stars for a case. Ideally you wouldn't need a case, and this case gets fairly close to just that.
Pros: Difficult to see, keeps the touch slim, adds grip, protection against scratches
Cons: Difficult to impossible to install absolutely perfectly, corners tend to curl if not installed perfectly, screen has grip (see below)
Comments: I really like this case and I think it is as close to ideal as you can get. The texture looks like the texture of an orange, although it feels smooth. When moving your finger from stationary, there is a lot of resistance, but once it is moving, it glides across the screen. While plenty of application fluid is provided, don't waste too much on the first piece.

This product is impossible to have it properly fit on your IPod touch. You have to be exact when putting the sheets on. In addition, the plastic covers are really difficult to handle.

This was my first InvisibleSHIELD install on my iPod Touch 2nd gen. This is a great product for your iPod but is VERY difficult to install. My advice is to watch the installation video on the Zagg website. I watched some of the YouTube install videos and most of them are pretty lame. Also, take your time and do not hurry the process.
My kit came with the sponge solution, but I think I would prefer to have the spray solution. Don't know why they send some with the spray and some with the sponge. It seems to me that it would be easier to keep the shield and your fingers wet with the spray bottle. Positioning the shield correctly is very important. Mine stuck on the iPod immediately and was not easy to peel off again - even just the corner. Maybe I did not have enough solution on it. (Once again - the spray bottle would have made installation easier).
Once on, wet the top of the shield with solution and be aggressive about squeegeeing the bubbles out. I still have some small bubbles, but have been told that they will disappear after a few weeks.
All in all, I am very impressed with the shield. I will update this review after it has been on a few months to verify the protection and ability to stay on -- and to see if the remaining small bubbles disappear.
I certainly think some kind of protection is advisable to prevent scratches and other minor damage for this amazing (and expensive) gadget. The Zagg InvisibleSHIELD seems to be the most highly rated product to accomplish this.

I bought this product not once but twice! The first time I tried installing it, I washed my hands and still, stuff got stuck to the sticky side of the invisible shield. I couldn't put that on my ipod, it would drive me crazy. So, thinking it was my fault anyway, I bought another one. I installed it and I couldn't get all the bubbles out with that stupid card they give you. It made my ipod look so cheap and tacky. I would not recommend buying this at all. I wished I would have read these reviews instead of listening to someone at best buy :(
