In the past 6 months I've had two pairs of these headphones fray and lost the sound in the earbud that doesn't have the inline mic. The mic works great and the sound quality is certainly above par but the durability doens't meet the cut. I made an effort to handle my second pair differently but it didn't seem to matter. Many thanks to Amazon for the free replacement pair but I'm moving on to a different model from a different manufacturer.

I bought my TuneBuds Mobile from Amazon in June. It is now October as I write this review.
Things I've liked about the TuneBuds Mobile: They stay in my ear, the sound is on a par with the Apple iPhone headset and the tactile feedback from the button is 100x better than the Apple one. I especially like the interchangeable earbuds that come with it.
Biggest problem..They stop working. Apparently the wiring into the jack is incredibly fragile. Mine have gone out after 3 months of use. I am not rough on my headset. I use it mainly in my car with my iPhone mounted on a stand for hands free. Contrast that with my 15 month old Apple headset which still works fine. I only replaced it to get a better in-ear fit.
My advice is to not buy these unless Griffin changes the design of the jack and wiring stress point.
Update: Griffin is shipping me a new pair. Kudos to them for that. If the design is the same, I'll probably get similar life out of them. I am going to try reinforcing the connection on this pair before I start using them

TIPS FOR USING Griffin in-ear earbuds:
If you are getting tinny or shreaking treble - you don't have the tips far enough into your ear -OR- the silicon tip you are using is the wrong size (probably too small). You'll probably be surprised just how deep into your ear the tip goes before it's "right". When seated in the ear properly, you should experience very clean sound, perhaps a little bass heavy - but it's not distracting (you can always use "bass reduction" mode on your ipod EQ if it bothers you). I listen to mine (all kinds of music, classical, rock, jazz, gregorian chants...) with no EQ and they sound just fine.
You should also notice that you have a high degree of noise isolation with these. If you can hear someone talking to you, then something ain't right - check the fit.
Try ALL the tips to find which ones fit/sound the best to you. I'd start with the smallest tip and work up - but still try even the larger tips. Don't be afraid to "stick it in your ear".
I rated these 4/5 only because I've been seeing such good press on the new Klipsh 'buds (which cost more than twice as much). I want to leave room, just in case there is something better.
The Griffin's beat the stock ipod 'buds HANDS DOWN. For the money - and when properly fit to your ears - I have yet to hear anything else that sounds anywhere near as good.

pros: great price for headphones designed for the iphone. handy pouch. 3 sets of earbud fit almost any ear pretty well, pretty good sound. cloth wrapped wire means durability and nearly no tangling. really well placed and easy to use mic/ control button. really good call quality. good amount of bass. i have had them for over a year and have not experienced any trouble at all with it. fits original iphone's recessed jack.
cons: sound is transfered to ears when cable brushes up against something or is moved around. okay, not amazing sound. high noted s and h noises can be very sharp ad piercing. pouch has quite a bit of unneeded padding, making it slightly bulky. hardly any noise reduction. 3 earbud tips may not fit everyone's ear quite right. sometimes when inserting the headphone jack, it seems like it is in, when in fact, it is not quite inserted all the way.
overall, great product, especially for the price, although of course not quite as great as, say, a $100 pair, but amazing for the price. if you don't want to spend $100 for a pair of headphones, this is the best headphone out there that i have found. i have used griffin product many times, and they are always very reliable products, and this is no exception. great buy, especially because of the fact that as i am writing this, amazon is offering it for 20 dollars. i would say this is the best product under 100 dollars, and amazingly great considering it is way under 100 dollars.

I was looking for a alternative for the iPhone headset. This was the best one for less than $50 and for $20 you cannot beat it. I use them several hours a day and my last pair lasted aost 10 months. So I
am on my second pair and love them.
