"Excellent Portable iTouch Player" 2009-09-28
By Nickie K. Flambures (Oklahoma City, OK)
I have had this player for about a month. I love it! It is much easier to put my iTouch into this player and hear the sound throughout my house, than messing with the player in my home theater system. I am not an audiophile, so music (pop, top 40, dance) all sound great to me with this player. It charges the iTouch when the iTouch is docked, it charges the player, when the iTouch is not docked (assuming the power cord is plugged int).
"Positives and Negatives after a week of use" 2009-09-27

Physical: Nice little unit, smaller than I thought. Weight is only a couple of pounds (a kilo). Much smaller than the Altec-Lansing unit it replaced. Width is about 3-1/2 iPod Classics, height less than 1. Nice styling. Physically, the unit has little rubber feet that are intended to let it stand a little back of vertical with the speakers directed slightly above the horizontal, but the unit is unstable with or without an iPod in it. You can either let it rest on its front edge, with the speakers pointing down 10 degrees or so, or you can lean its back against a support.
Remote: The wireless remote controller is a plus, works well, handles all iPod controls. The on-off on the remote turns the iPod on/off at the same time as the unit.
Sound: Quality is better than good. No tone controls, and no ear-splitting volume levels. There's a rear port with an eighth-note icon, but I don't know if it is for input or output, and I can't find any documentation on this.
Battery: It charged well initially and continues to do so after the first charge. I've run it for several hours but not the full 10 hours of claimed battery charge. Unit is usable while being charged.
iPod Adapters: In order to accommodate the variety of iPods there are, you choose one of half a dozen plastic inserts that fit around the base. They snap in place around the iPod port and so might be tedious to interchange if you have two different styles of iPod.
"Road Warrior's Tunes!" 2009-09-20
By B. Enever (Wyoming)
I live out of a suitcase. So do all my co-workers. I bought my first one a little over a year ago. I was impressed by it's size, and weight, but mostly by it high quality and high volume sound. At home use a 30 year old set of Bose 901s. I like good sound, and in my opinion these little speakers are impressive.
Before I came home a co-worker pleaded with me to sell him mine, and a couple others asked if I would bring them one. I've brought 10 of them to Africa now. There have been no problems with any of them.
The battery life is great. The sound is great. They're light and fit in my suitcase well.
"Great Portable Player for iPhone" 2009-09-18
By E. Schnee (Byron, CA, USA)
I bought the Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 as a dock to charge my iPhone, play music, and to get portable speakers that could be used outdoors.
The sound is pure, the volume range is great, and thankfully there is no interference, white noise or crackling that I heard on other players.
I first learned that it needed a 2 hour charge so that it would respond to the remote control or even to it's onboard control buttons (volume +/-, On/Off).
So far the battery life is good, and I get over 3 hours of use per charge.
It's does all of the things I wanted: charges my iPhone, plays the songs and can play outdoors on batteries.
I'm happy.
