They simply will not stay in my ears. Period. Cannot believe APPLE would associate such a poorly designed product with their IPOD TOUCH.

I am very pleased with this stereo system for iPods. I purchased one as a birthday gift for a 17 year old and she loves it! When she opened her gift, her friends all went crazy and wanted to know where they could buy one. They love the fact it is battery operated. I have since purchased another one as a Christmas gift.

By Virginia Engebretson
I've spent a lot of time and some money looking for a suitable speaker set for my Ipod Touch. I like to view movies while laying in bed and this is perfect. No power cords to get in the way, sound is good for my purposes. There is a little ledge to rest the Ipod on, and it allows me to view in landscape mode. All the docking speakers force me to remove the case and most of them force portrait mode position. This is perfect as I don't want to struggle with the case or viewing position. It's a great value for my uses.
Pros:
Landscape mode viewing
Sound is good
Don't have to remove case from ipod
Inexpensive
No power cord so very portable
Cons:
Doesn't charge Ipod
Battery powered (4 AAs)

By MTR
This is a very, very basic speaker to increase the volume you get out of your mp3 player. It's nothing more than a battery-powered speaker with an on-off switch, a small light, and a cord to plug into the mp3 player's audio output. It's important to note that **there is no dock**. Just a small ledge to rest the mp3 player on, with a slot that your player may or may not fit into. Also, no place to recharge your player, no power cord, no volume control (other than the control on your mp3 player). But for $15, you can hardly complain. Using my iPod Touch, the sound is loud and clear enough to hear across the room. It's somewhat tinny, and distorts at top volume, but that's probably caused by the Touch rather than the speakers and can be avoided by keeping the volume down a notch.

By J. Moody
Wow...this thing is great. Yes, it runs on batteries. And no, it doesn't charge your ipod. But it costs $18 and it's portable! All you need is 4 AA batteries and you can take your music anywhere! It's great if you are having a BBQ, hanging out on the boat, or just want to move it from room to room to enjoy your ipod! I loved it so much, I ordered a second one just to have for when I do stuff outside. It's little, it's loud, it's a great setup. Totally worth the money!

By Esther Lee (amherst, ma)
the speakers for their size get decently loud. i like these speakers a lot but i did listen to numerous songs on full volume on my ipod and i have blown them already (i got them about 3 weeks ago). i can now only play songs at half volume or else the base sounds terrible. the sound quality is good and i would still recommend these speakers.

By A. Boyer (Atlanta, GA USA)
Works as promised, but I use it to connect my ipod to my factory car stereo (connectors are under the armrest) so the 6 foot length is overkill. Wish it was offered in 2 or 3 foot length.
Very reasonable product and shipping cost!!!

By Camper in NC (Charlotte, NC)
Got cable to connect stereo with an mp3 like device. Works fine and received promptly.

By another shopper (Nashville, TN)
The cable arrived quickly via U.S. mail, and it works. Hooray! I used mine to connect the audio line out from a netbook to a TV, and it works great so far.
Now some initial observations.
For those who care about such things, the RCA connectors on the cable I received were black and red, not white and red, so I've posted a photo. I just plugged the red cable connector into the red socket, and the black cable connector into the white socket, and it's good to go.
How long is a 6-foot cable supposed to be? If you measure the one I got from the tip of the stereo plug to the tips of the RCA connectors, it's 6 feet 2.5 inches long; but if you measure just the unmolded section of cord, that's 5 feet 10.5 inches long.
The metal of all the connectors isn't gold plated; instead it's a silver color with a mirror finish. My guess is that it's a bright nickel plating over some base metal. FWIW, the connectors were not magnetic. There's a tan insulator between the center pin and outer sleeve of the RCA connectors that appears to be phenolic. All connectors were molded onto the wires, and included 5/8" of strain relief where the wires enter the connector.
The wire has two separately-insulated parts that are joined and run in parallel except for perhaps the last three inches at the RCA connectors, where the wire is split with each half going to a separate RCA connector. If the RCA connectors were pulled further apart, it seems the twinned wires would easily separate, allowing the RCA connectors to be positioned further apart.
The country of origin isn't indicated on the cable, and there was no individual unit packaging such as thermoformed plastic or a baggie.
I haven't had the product long enough to comment on long-term reliability.
In summary, the cable works, it's cheap, shipping was a bargain, and it arrived promptly. So far, I'm satisfied.

By Tim (Arlington, VA United States)
Not much to say other than that the cable does what it's supposed to and seems to be good quality. I use it with a video cable to connect a MacBook to a plasma tv.

The Onkyo TX-8255 Receiver was easy to set up, but most importantly works beautifully with all my other equipment. I was worried about 50 watts/channel, but no issue. The sound is better than my original receiver. The remote is easy to use. Highly recommend this product.Onkyo TX-8255 Stereo Receiver

By Dave (Philly)
I wanted a decent amp with good sound and decent frequency response. I didn't need surround sound and other bells and whistles. I wanted a receiver/amp that would play music and sound great. This product fits the bill. I have it hooked up to my old Polk 10s with a cd player, mp3 player and HD radio. It was a perfect fit for me.

By Tickie (va)
Am very pleased with the performance of the unit. Everything was as promised.
Only very mild dislike is the way the preset radio station function is set up. Would prefer that the unit allowed the user to go directly to the desired radio station. The unit as designed only allows sequencing through the entire set of preset stations. It is hard to tell which station you have landed on.
Otherwise everything is fine.

By Tinkerpapa (Upper Michigan)
I purchased the TX-8255 as a receiver/amp for my TV and ipod. I first thought 50 watts was going to be too quiet, so I was pleasantly surprised when I got the speakers hooked up. Plenty of sound and easy to set up.

By Sailor sailor man (Boston MA area)
This summer, the 20+ year old AM/FM receiver in my Maine vacation cottage died. It was a remarkablly reliable and sophisticated Technics receiver whose power supply gave out. After searching for a replacement, I selected the Onkyo TX-8255 Stereo Receiver based on its simplicity (I wanted a good FM tuner plus inputs for a CD and audio tape), apparent power plus reliability, and of course cost. Amazon's price was the best, though at other times I could have found it for less. I ordered regular shiping but it arrived in two days!!!
The unit is as advertized: a basic receiver. No real bells and whistles. The sound is good to my elderly ears and controls are intuitive. I set it up in about five minutes, turned on the power and my problem was solved. Just what the doctor ordered.
Complaints? Nothing I didn't expect based on reviews and descriptions I'd read. Still, I am disappointed it doesn't have a loudness button and its tuning interval is .1 mhz (not .05 the Technics had), so it can't pull in distant stations as well as I'd like - i.e like the Technics.
Would I recommend it? Yes.

I have a 2007 Acura that I have had for 3 years and never used the AUX input jack that is located in the console. I got a new 16 Gig iPod nano for my birthday, which holds ALOT more songs, so I was hoping to stop carrying around so many CD's and using the ipod instead. I found this cable which was reasonably priced and the free shipping was a bonus!!
When I first plugged it in and played the ipod, the sound quality SUCKED and I had to turn the volume waaay up and there was no bass or richness to the music at all, hard to describe. But then I tightened the connection at the AUX input by twisting the cable and it's worked fine ever since. I recommend you turn the volume of your ipod up almost all the way and then adjust the volume from your car stereo's volume control for the best sound :-) Would definitely recommend this product!

I bought this cable for my 2009 Toyota Sienna and I am completely satisfied! They arrived in a timely fashion and they work beautifully. They came with tips on how to maximize sound quality too! No regrets on this purchase!

By Tamara Brown (Indiana)
I use this cable with my iPod in my Nissan and it works beautifully. The sound is great and the length of the cable is just right so I can place the iPod either in my lap, on the passenger seat, or in the center console where it's easily accessible. Love this accessory!

By Mony (Escondido, CA)
I was looking for something to enable me to play my iPod via the car's stereos and this was just the thing! The quality is amazing and I am very happy with my purchase! I definitely recommend it for anyone else in need of something like this :D!

By M. O'Sullivan (Idaho)
This cable works great and is a bargain. The company has excellent customer service too which I found out after I mistakenly entered a po box shipping address. In Car Cables handled the problem (which had been my mistake) quickly and I am now enjoying the great cable.

This is a good and simple product to hook up and get started with digitising your records. Also very good is Finyl Vinyl although I have had some "bumps" along the way but their staff is very easy to get a-hold-of and they are situated in the USA and are very helpful without being imtimidating.

By Russell M. Brady (Haverhill, NH., USA)
I purchased the iMic for use with both Mac and pc laptops. After owning a Toshiba Satellite laptop for over a year and a half, I discovered that it only has a MONO mic input. You would think they could have spent the extra 10 cents to equip a $600 laptop with a stereo input jack! Note to laptop manufacturers: MORE AUDIO INPUTS!!! and make at least one of them stereo! Enter the iMic--the lowest-priced device I could find to get two channels of audio into my laptop. It is a bit flimsy, but with a little TLC, I expect it will last a while. Very simple: It has one sample rate (44khz), so no messing around with multiple settings. The 44khz sample rate is often referred to as "cd quality"--good enough for me! It comes with Audacity--a very versatile freeware program for digitizing, editing and cleaning audio. My laptop downloaded the driver for the iMic immediately on connection--plug and play! There was a little bit of messing around with the sound settings in "control panel"; you can make the iMic the "default" audio input or just choose it from the list whenever you use it. Set-up is even easier on a Mac. Oddly enough, my Mac laptop is older than the Toshiba and it features a stereo audio in jack! The iMic has a little slider switch for choosing "line" or "mic" level. I use it with an analog mixer board, so have used only the "line" setting. It also come with a short stereo mini-plug to RCA phono jack adapter which even features a "ground" screw for use with direct connection to a turntable--another feature I haven't tried. The iMic is a very useful product to interface almost any audio to a usb input at a very reasonable price.

By C. Pierce (Dallas, TX)
For basic "just get the audio into the computer" needs, the iMic is a great little device. Coupled with Final Vinyl, and getting my old record collection digitized is a snap.

By Mark S. Lemerise (USA)
I was using the Griffin iMic to capture audio from a PS2 and at first had a really hard time filtering out the static and feedback from the line (the TV was also a bit old). However, after switching to a newer TV and fully securing the input line from the RCA jacks into the central hub, there was absolutely NO feedback and I got CD-quality capture. This is a very useful tool and I would recommend it to anyone for non-professional audio capture. (Just make sure everything is FULLY plugged in or you'll get terrible feedback on the line).

By James S. Stewart (San Francisco, CA)
Does what it says it does: allows you to input tapes and lps to your mac.

Great condition. Works well w/ my ipod. Easy to use. Reasonable price.

By Jorma Vartiainen (Helsinki, Finland)
Bought this to record clips from our band's rehearsals; no intention to do anything very hi-fi, just to get an idea on what's happening there. And this toy does the trick - it's good enough quality, works with a single press of the button, iPod recognizes it automatically and opens the recording application, no need for batteries or setup acrobatics... so couldn't be much easier.
IPod creates your recordings as .wav files which you can then convert to mp3 in your computer. Only thing that I would have liked was that the recording would be straight in mp3, to make it even more simple. .wav is an unnecessarily big format for this purpose and quality isn't that great anyhow with this sort of equipment, so no need really ...

By Ron Palangio
This is great for quick recording for teaching singers, instrumentalists their parts. Easy to use.

By Wing Sze May So (Australia)
The product is working perfectly. The packing was good, however there are some scratches on the surface of product. Can I refund or exchange it? What can I do?
It should be a brand new product, isn't it?

By LawyerMom (USA)
I bought this attachment to the iPod in order to record some official school IEP meetings for which I needed legal documentation--so pretty important stuff. Now, speaking as a person who didn't even know what an iPod was when my husband got one 2 years ago, this was pretty easy to use. You just plug it in at the bottom and push the button to record. Push again to stop recording and you automatically get prompted to save. The sound quality is wicked good. I had the machine sitting in the middle of a conference table and it was able to pick up all the voices around the table. The detriment to using a traditional tape recorder is that those things often pick up the white noise from its own motor running (and sometimes the sound of the vibration of its motor while sitting on top of the table) and the quality is thus compromised.
I'm thrilled with this purchase. A price worth it's contribution to making my life easier.
