I didn't think I needed a car charger until we lost power recently due to the storms. I recently bought this charger for my brand-new iPhone 3GS because this charger's description specifically says that it works with "3 GS" iPhones. Well, it does not work with the iPhone 3GS. My iPhone 3GS displays a warning about "accessory not supported", and refuses to charge. Some people report that this works with older 3GS phones, so my guess is that there is something about the newer 3GS iPhones that has changed.



Now Belkin wants me to spend another $50 of my time/effort/money to exchange a $25 product. Sure! I just love doing that. I should never have bought a Belkin product in the first place.



My advice: Spend the extra $5 or $10 and buy an Apple product from the Apple store. It will just work and you can get on with your life.

I have an Otterbox Defender case and most chargers won't fit the opening. So,buying this one was a risk. It's a tight fit. But it works great. I had to use a nailfile a tiny bit in the edges so it wasn't so snug. But after that. It's great. It has an indicator light to tell you when it's done and the cord is long enough to handle you iPhone while it remains plugged in. I really like it.

This cable is great but not what I needed, some if not most LCD HD TVs cannot

combine this audio (analog through video input) with digital HDMI output, or Monitor PC output.



So beware! unless you want all analog video and audio through your laptop output, then do not buy this,

Unless you want to connect a 3.5 jack device to larger speakers etc.



I found a newer solution to my Macbook to TV problem,

I hooked up the Mini DVI to HDMI cable fine, beautiful output...

and then connected usb powered and 3.5 jack compatible

speakers to my Macbook, and boom video and audio.

I bought this micro-plug-to-RCA adapter and gave it to my sister. The first time we used it it started losing contact. The problem was where the microplug plugged into the computer. For a while jiggling the wire a bit re-established contact. That was in the summer, and she didn't use it again until Christmas, when the problem got worse and worse and finally I had to toss this product and buy a new, sturdier adapter.

Good:

The product fits well and comes with a screen protector. Price was very good, too.

Not so Good:

I had to trim the screen protector to fit the Ipod Classic 120 GB. Also, the case covers the volume controls, and for some reason it won't register when you try to use those sliding controls with the case on. It worked sometimes, but mostly it wouldn't work. I just ended up cutting that part out. After that, the case is solid and does its job of keeping scratches off.

Bought the sleeve case(s) for a new iTouch 8Gig, and have since moved it to a 32Gig. I have used it in conjunction with a film screen protector. The case is ridiculously easy to put on and remove. The case adds very little bulk to the device and makes it very easy to grasp. All the plugs are totally accessible. Long term durability remains to be seen, but the pack contains 2 cases, although I would have preferred that both be black. I tend to doubt that it would prevent damage in the event of a real hard drop. Overall, the price was right and it does the job. I would recommend or buy again.

This iPod cover has been exactly what I needed. I purchased it in black from Amazon a few weeks ago. (My daughter has the same cover in cream trimmed with orange and she is very happy with it, too.) The softness of the inner cover protects my iPod screen perfectly and it has a pretty crosshatch design imprinted on it. I prefer to touch the actual screen, so I am not using the clear screen cover that you can purchase separately and my screen is doing just fine. I like the protection from damage when dropped that the leather padding provides, too. The velcro closure holds well and seems better for my iPod than a snap closure. The leather and stitching are of a very good quality and haven't shown any wear yet. I wondered if having leather covering the button at the bottom of my iPod would be a problem, but I can press the button just fine through the leather and it's easy to see where the button is.



Get this cover. You won't be sorry.

I gave this case 4 stars because the stitching has started to fray a bit. Also I would have preferred the closure to be magnetic instead of velcro, since the velcro will eventually be useless.



Power button still accessible on top, USB/cable hookup stil accessible through the bottom (along with headphone jack) and when the sleeve is open you can use the volume control. It serves its purpose.

I wanted something that had a simple, classic look and was capable of effectively protecting my iPod touch (2nd generation). This product has met all of my expectations. I most appreciate that the screen surface is well protected in my purse or pocket, where any number of items could really damage it. I am able to type, navigate, and use the entire screen surface with minimal interference from the cover, and all of the buttons and plug-ins are accessible. The velcro closure is somewhat loud if you are trying to be discreet I guess, but it has posed no problem for me yet. Overall, it is a great value for the price.

In reading other reviews, I noticed mention made of the velcro clasp being substandard. It is! However, a trip to Walmart or Target where you can get a "cheap upgrade kit" of industrial strength velcro strips w/close-tabs, is a fine fix. That aside, the case is perfect!! I have not found a leather case to compare. Soft leather, nice tight fit, exactly what is needed and nothing extraneous.

I haven't used this charger in the dark so I can't comment whether the blue light is annoying or not. I am using this charger at work so it's been plugged in under my desk. The fact that you can only use the cable included to sync or transfer data is actually a plus for me since we're not allowed to connected personal devices to our work computers. It's much easier to plug it into my keyboard than to constantly unplug it from the strip on the floor. If someone asks me why I have my iPhone (3GS) connected to my computer I can honestly tell them it's just charging and no data can be transferred. It hasn't come apart and continues to work just fine after a few months of occasional use.

I read the reviews and it seems this Belkin unit works "great" if it works at all. And if it doesn't work people are understandably unhappy. I didn't return mine, I just threw out the cable and used the one I got with my iPod. Works fine that way. I figure I lucked out in that it was just the cable that was bad. If the whole thing was bad I'd have to return it for a refund. Too bad they don't just sell the wall wart without the cable. We wasted a bit of time trying to figure out what was wrong.



Probably wouldn't wanna buy Belkin products again. I can't see why poor quality control wouldn't be the norm in all their other products.
