This is a great gadget. The transmitter works better than any others I've tried. The flexible neck makes it easy to keep your phone and ipod close at hand and conveniently located.

This item is rather inexpensive ($35 or so), but seems to do the job so far. I've had it about 3 weeks, and have not yet received a phone call while the unit was fully connected to my minivan's stereo system, so I can't comment on the phone-thru-stereo quality. I don't know what to expect for $35 in that regard. But it plays music and podcasts alright through the FM radio (with the usual interference, fuzzing in and out as we drive between various sources of radio hash) with basic mp3-to-FM quality (which means don't expect an audiophile experience by any stretch of the imagination). It charges the iPhone, but seems to prefer that the iPhone is attached and cabled-up first, before the engine is started, for charging to really begin. Physically it's sturdy enough, and has withstood the attentions of a child, but I can imagine if I went 4-wheeling it would wiggle around a lot. I don't know who makes the perfect "be-all end-all" iPhone / car attachment, nor do I know what that might cost, but this one works for me for the price.

What a surprise. I purchased this for the mounting which it does well. But the real value is that the transmitter actually works with the iPhone. I've tried many others, but this one works and works well. Highly recommended.

I love the concept, but couldn't get mine to stay put plus I could not hear my callers. The company was very responsive, though, and I did get a refund.
