A Musical Genius
Say you're listening to a song you really like and want to hear other tracks that go great with it. The Genius Playlist feature finds the songs in your music library that go great together and makes a Genius Playlist for you. It's like having your own highly intelligent, personal DJ.

Find Your Music Faster
It's even easier to find the song you want to hear. Now you can view your album art in Cover Flow. Or just press and hold the Center button to browse by album or artist. When you find the right song, press the Center button to add it to your on-the-go playlist.

Rock and Roll Over
Tilt or turn iPod nano on its side, and you'll listen, watch, and play in new ways. You can flip through your album art with Cover Flow. Or, vertically speaking, see more albums and artists on the screen at one time.

Shake Your Groove Thing
Sometimes, we could all use a little unpredictability. And now you can shake to change your music. Just give iPod nano a shake, and it shuffles to a different song in your music library. You'll always be surprised by what you'll hear.

Let the Games Begin
Now you can get in on games made especially for iPod nano and the accelerometer. They respond to the way you move, so they're immersive, addictive, and a blast. The iPod nano comes with Maze, which lets you work your way through vast mazes by tilting and moving. You can find even more games on the iTunes Store.

Even Your Photos Rock
Pull hundreds of photos from your pocket and share them wherever you go. Hold iPod nano upright and see your photos in portrait view. Turn the player on its side to see them in landscape. Your photos look beautiful in their proper aspect ratio on the vibrant, 320-by-240-resolution display.

The World's Biggest Small Screen
Watching movies, TV shows, and videos is big fun on iPod nano. And the high-resolution picture looks crisp and vivid on the 2-inch widescreen display. So you can always have a little video with you.

"Improved over 2nd Generation iPod Nano" 2009-09-30
By A. Gordon (Plano, TX)
Cheaper than what I paid for my 2nd Generation iPod and features which I consider this a good buy. Easier to navigate threw the menus by a more uniform touch around the circle " smooth operation". I thought the battery life could have been improved just a little which isn't a show stopper. I like that you can load and watch a movie on this iPod. The screen is small but watchable so you can break the boredom of waiting for a plane or at a doctor's office.

I think is a good product, but I had few problems at first....maybe because I'm not a tech person.

"I HEART MY FIRST IPOD" 2009-09-28
By Michael P. Capone (NEW JERSEY)
i like this ipod alot.i have an in dash NAVI PIONEER AVIC-X710BT with ipod controls which also lets me voice the artist i want to listen to and tag music from radio,xm,hd radio,etc....so i purchased this just for that reason and not having to keep a bunch of cd's in my car.i like the album art as well.my only grif is the sensitivity when i use it with headphones it goes to quick and is a bit annoying might be because i am not used to it and it stays in the car 90% of the time other than that i like it.i am glad i purchased it will do so again in the future thanks APPLE!

 "iPod 4th generation" 2009-09-27
By Bruce Swanson
What can I say. Totally happy, well...not so because the week that I took delivery, iPod came out with 5th generation which included FM and a couple other very nice options. But, overall....five stars. I have already ordered a 5th gen 16gb iPod.

"An honest review form a 42 year old" 2009-09-27
By Michael Smith (Chicago, IL)
If you are reading this, then the '42 year old' thing may have caught your attention. When I was a kid, 8-tracks and vinyl were all the rage, then came cassettes and eventually CD's. Now we have the iPod, where you can store a thousand songs on one little, slim player 1/6 the size of the original Sony Walkman.

This is amazing in and of itself, at least to me. People who complain about this iPod are kids and young adults who don't know what an 8-track or Vinyl album was.

I now have every song I every loved, equivalent to a massive stack of cassettes, records and 8-tracks on one, little, simple player.

Yea, that rocks, no question about it.
