I got this item for a long road trip and it performed perfectly until...



I plugged in my GPS and a portable DVD player. It shortly blew. When I say it blew I mean it got hot enough to melt the plastic inside the main male plug as well as the springs inside that hold the fuse was turned into a pool of melted metal. It was completely destroyed. Not to mention the smell of burning plastic lingering in the cabin of the car.



The lesson is that this unit can only handle a maximum load of 2.5 amps TOTAL. Before you buy check and make sure that the devices you are plugging into it do not exceed this rating. For me its the GPS thats the problem in drawing 2.1 amps by itself. I was ok at first because I was using it first with my GPS and the Scosche USB charger accessory which only draws .5 amps.



Overall I was satisfied with this product. I only wish they would have noted its maximum load rating in the product specs.

I got this one after my previous (and cheaper) one has blown the fuse of my car lighter. I needed 2 connections so I could keep my GPS and a charger (either iphone or my car bluetooth) connected.



The item works as advertised. The item I received do not match the picture, which result in me lowering the rating. I did prefer the look of the one showed here, but since it works just the same, I decided to keep it.

Used with a Jeep Grand Cherokee & with a Brunton Solaris 26 solar panel. Fits the socket well, supports the weight of 2 adapters plugged in, & has smooth edges. Doesn't have that cheap "made in China" feel (though it probably is) where seams don't close tight & plastic edges have burrs.



When purchased, it came with a promotional $5 amazon music download code. May buy another one for the other car.

I bought this item for my wife for her birthday. She wanted one that could be used in the bedroom and this fit the bill. The sound that is produced by this system is simply awesome. It sound every bit as good as a Bose wave radio. There is one major downside to it though. The clock is backlit by a blue light that, even on the low setting, is bright enough to illuminate the entire room. We just turn it to face away from the bed and then it can be used as a night light. My wife does have a problem learning how to adjust the alarms as well but that is just owner/operator error. Over all this is a very good sounding radio that works very well.

While this alarm clock looks nice and shiny, it actually works terribly. The round volume and tuning buttons on the top are imprecise, feel cheap, and difficult to use. The AM/FM radio in this alarm clock is also sub-standard. Whether it was the knobs or the radio itself is hard to say, but I couldn't get a fix on a station. The final blow is that the radio I received failed within 12 hours of me owning it and had to be returned. All in all, a terrible, disappointing purchase.

I have an iPod Nano 4G and was a bit hesitant about ordering this product since the Amazon info doesn't list the Nano 4G as a compatible product. The iLive site doesn't say anything about his model (probably discontinued). But, considering the price, I thought it was worth a risk since it was shown as working with the newest Classic.



As it turns out, it is fully functional with my iPod and really seems to be a pretty good product. The display is backlit and has three different brightness settings. The only complaint I have is that the radio tuning knob is really stiff and hard to adjust precisely to the desired frequency. The controls are easy to figure out and the sound is actually pretty good for the price, especially with the bass boost turned on.



So far I am very pleased with this product.

I got this ipod alarm clock for my mom for mothers day. She is not good at technological stuff and so I was hoping this would be good for her. It is a little confusing to figure out (I do not read directions, I just wing it) but eventually we figured it out. The display is a little weird in the way that it dims instead of staying bright all the time as most alarm clocks. Though overall, I do think this is a good product to have to wake up to in the morning.

The sound is great, impressive for the speaker size. I love the dimmer feature that allows you to set the level of brightness. Some people have said that dimmed to the lowest level is too bright and I can understand why they might say that, but I personally don't find it bothersome and I have returned other alarm clocks for being too bright at night. I love that you can hit snooze or even turn the alarm off right from bed with the remote! I definitely recommend this product!

I bought and returned two other similar products, before I finally bought this ihome. My need was for a clock radio in my bedroom where I could dock my ipod and wake to music I selected on the ipod. This has great sound, charges the ipod, and controls are simple to understand for this over 50 non electronic minded lady. Other products I bought also had good sound quality, but the feature that sells this unit is the 8 different levels of brightness on the clock radio. The other units I bought and returned did not have brightness control sufficient to my needs. They were all way too bright and were like having a Las Vegas night light in your room. On this ihome you can reduce the brightness all the way off if need. I have not found any other unit that is as adjustable. I am very satisfied and highly recommend this product if the adjustment in the brightness of the light display is also your paramount need.

If you are thinking about buying a $5 charger.. [...], just make sure u know it will work. I bought one before for ~~$5. When plugged it, it will light up and you'll see the charging-battery icon, but in fact.. even if it's plugged in for hours, no power is coming in. There's an article explaining why that happen, that I'm not going into that.



BUY THIS ONE WITH CONFIDENT KNOWING IT WILL WORK AND IT'S THE BEST ONE AROUND. =) (Performance and price wise)

I almost ordered one from Griffin, but after reading rave reviews of this product on Apple App Store I decided to order this one. It's slightly more expensive than Griffin version, but I wanted a unit that wouldn't give me problems (the unit is officially listed by Apple to be compatible with all three versions of iPhones). It comes with two cables for iPhone/iPod and mini-USB. The charger has two USB-slots, one being the "quick charger". Nice feature is that unlike some chargers I can also use these cables with other sources like my laptop...and also attach other USB cables to charge other units like my stereo bluetooth headsets that uses the new micro-USB adapter. Best of all, it has two connectors so you can charge two items at the same time.

This item is perfect for me. Overall, it is a great armband. Very comfortable, well constructed.



I did think sliding the device in and out was too snug of a fit (16GB Touch 2nd gen). It was really hard to slide out after a run (condensation maybe) and I kept worrying if something inside might scratch the screen (I need to get a screen protector, I know).



Also, the Volume UP/DOWN buttons were very hard to use as they are covered by the case. If you are looking to volume up or down without looking (by feel), it is nearly impossible to locate the control buttons. There is no tactile (raised) indicators for where to push the buttons. Additionally, the buttons are located behind the strap area, behind the fold, making them even harder to locate.



Not a bad case at all, but just didn't fit my needs.

Wanted something to hold my iTouch while mowing or working out. This works but is too much work changing it out of the case for other uses (grocery shopping, appointment scheduling, etc). So I find I don't use it that much. It's easier to just put the iTouch in my pants pocket when mowing or on the book holder while using an exercise bike, etc. The band size adjustment should make it suitable for any size arm.



I would say this is great if you just want to listen to music while moving about, but is not that useful for other iTouch programs.

I wasn't sure from the appearance in the image whether this armband would fit comfortably, but after trying it on and using it in a couple running and biking sessions, I'm absolutely delighted with this product. It is made of soft material that fits very snugly and comfortably around my arm. It doesn't slip at all. I would definitely buy a Belkin product again if I was looking for another armband.

I shopped a long time to find this product. It had great reviews. I did take note that some people were concerned that it appears that the iphone could get wet. Well, I've had mine for about a month now and guess what!! Yep, I went on a 12 mile run today and of course sweated like crazy and now my Iphone is ruined. It worked fine during the whole run and even after. I took the iphone out of the arm band and set it on my countertop while I took a shower. When I got out of the shower I noticed my iphone screen was blank. I thought maybe the battery was dead so I plugged in the charger. After charging for about 10 minutes I wondered why it wouldn't turn on. I then pushed the audio/vibrate button and notice that it did vibrate. So it's on I thought but I can't see anything. I called my phone from my house phone and sure enough it rang. The screen no longer works. This product is supposed to be for sports. Well guess what, people sweat when they play sports. Whatever you do, do not buy this product. I'm now out a phone.

for most applications this product actually worked better than i thought it would. it's perfect for running and working out if you're only listening to music. the fit is fantastic, and it stays exactly where i want it on my arm. unlike other reviewers i don't find the band too small to fit my arm i consider myself a pretty average sized guy arm-wise, and there's still some room to grow.



i found out that there are actually a couple very handy pouches (one shown in the picture as a red line to hold cash/keys) the other is on the back side of the ipod pocket and is perfect for id, credit/membership cards. these are fantastic.



on the downside, if you have invisible shield or another similar product, the plastic covering the screen does some friction adhesion to the invisible shield, making it tough to get the ipod out. the plastic screen protector also makes it a little tough to cue up specific scenes in videos. rather than the smooth scrolling of the sliding time bar, the video tends to jump around probably due to the fact that the screen protector actually makes more contact with the ipod's face than your finger would alone. i use the p90x series and i get whooped, so i have to rewind a few seconds to keep up. often this results in going back a minute or two. very annoying. that's the only complaint. it seems to work fine with other applications (typing, selecting music, etc.). other than that, great product. highly recommended.

This charger charges my iPhone 3GS without a problem. It is also compact and aesthetically appealing. I bought it so I could charge a multitude of USB-powered devices and it works for everything I've tried with the one exception:



A Garmin Nuvi cannot be charged from this device. The Garmin Nuvi thinks it's connected to the USB port of a computer and goes into a computer mode when plugged into this device. Technically, the Nuvi is charging but it can't be used in the meantime. This is most likely a shortcoming of the Garmin Nuvi than of this particular charger.
