This car charger is inexpensive and seems to work just fine. Certainly cheaper than the one at the "phone store"! It was backordered and took awhile to get here. That's the only problem. I do now notice it is even cheaper than when I purchased it. Sigh

My staff have iPhone 3GS phones. Ordered 2, and both worked great. This feels sturdy and not cheap.

I didn't think I needed a car charger until we lost power recently due to the storms. This product works great and is nice to have in your car in case of an emergency or it you just need to charge you phone while on the road. The charger is very compact and does not take up a lot of storage space.

I recently bought this charger for my brand-new iPhone 3GS because this charger's description specifically says that it works with "3 GS" iPhones. Well, it does not work with the iPhone 3GS. My iPhone 3GS displays a warning about "accessory not supported", and refuses to charge. Some people report that this works with older 3GS phones, so my guess is that there is something about the newer 3GS iPhones that has changed.
Now Belkin wants me to spend another $50 of my time/effort/money to exchange a $25 product. Sure! I just love doing that. I should never have bought a Belkin product in the first place.
My advice: Spend the extra $5 or $10 and buy an Apple product from the Apple store. It will just work and you can get on with your life.

I have an Otterbox Defender case and most chargers won't fit the opening. So,buying this one was a risk. It's a tight fit. But it works great. I had to use a nailfile a tiny bit in the edges so it wasn't so snug. But after that. It's great. It has an indicator light to tell you when it's done and the cord is long enough to handle you iPhone while it remains plugged in. I really like it.
