All golf apps with gps are power pigs. Iphone alone will not make it through a five hour hour round. With the Kensington I can make it with power to spare. Usually the first nine on the Iphone battery, then a boost from Kensington for 10,11,12. Then I can make it the rest of the round with Iphone alone. I put the Kensington in my back pocket and connect the cord to the Iphone while in a holster. Looks like I'm wired for sound, but it works for me.......
Works as described. A wonderful accessory for me or my child to watch movies on long flights, i.e. to Europe. Besides my iPhone and my wife's iTouch, this also works with my 120g iPod Classic which has all the kids movies on it. Recently used it to power Mary Poppins on the Classic fed into grandma's widescreen TV. It only took about 25% of the Kensington's charge to play this long movie. I also use one of the smaller external batteries as a backup for my phone, but that stays in my briefcase (or pocket) and is used for just that. More of a safety/emergency backup. The Kensington is for entertainment.......
I just spent 5 days in Manhattan and this little item saved my bacon several times. I used my iPhone for GPS and checking email all day while I was on vacation and this battery pack recharged my phone to a full charge each day. I charged my phone and the battery every night in the hotel room and then tucked this away in my purse. It's small and fits easily in a purse or pocket. AT about 2 in the afternoon, my phone would have about a quarter of a charge left and I just plugged it into this and dropped it back in my purse for charging. It worked great!......
This chargers works extrememly well... Nice to throw this in my bag and during the day if my iPhone starts getting weak needing a recharge, I can just plug it in and it charges quickly.... very good product... About 2 full charges of iPhone to one charge of the charger. :)......
I did my research and picked this one. Very happy with it.. but I wish I bought two as my girlfriend uses it for her blackberry and I haven't seen it in months. I never should have lent it to her. I use my iTouch as a book reader. It is small enough to fit in my pocket and I can take it anywhere. I also use it for web browsing while travelling. I bought this because on long flights or long travel days, my iTouch runs out of juice. With one of these I can read as much as I like. When my charge dies I use this to recharge once or twice--enough to get me to an AC outlet in an airport or somewhere. I have an adapter to work on a cigarette lighter also. Pluses: It works without blocking the audio port. It charges my iTouch perhaps 2 times or perhaps a bit more. Can be recharged from a laptop USB or Apple Wall charger. minuses: None that I can think of. ......
