I tried to use the player with my computer and every time I connected it to my computer it would crash my computer and I also saw that there was lower pricing available elsewhere.

I've owned this player for many months, and like all but a few things. Don't get me wrong, I'll never buy any incarnation of iPod. I'm not a Mac fanatic. For its' size, I think this unit is a much better choice than anything else on the market. I just have a few gripes:
There is no software for the Mac, and unlike my Panasonic SV-MP020 (simple music-only players, I have several of them), it does not show up as a hard drive when connected to the Mac. For someone like me who would like to get through the day without turning on my old PC, this is a downer. I dislike iTunes, and would prefer "dragging and dropping" over being locked into software that constantly schemes up new ways to try to drain my wallet, and push their agenda.
It does not recognize PNG format images, and pukes on most WMA files (unless created with THEIR software).
It CONSTANTLY wants to fade out after 10 seconds (until you change the setting, but won't go over 30 seconds). It won't loop a directory of images, nor automatically repeat a single video when it gets to the end. How hard would it be to add these features to the System settings?
Lastly, you will find it dead as a stone after just a week of sitting around without being charged.
Buy one anyway, because it is still in my "top ten" of must-have gadgets. Load it up with pictures to share and music to entertain - digital entertainment as close as your pocket.

When I first got the player I had a faulty player, which sucked but good thing they have the warranty. The player is really great for music and pictures, because it holds so many file types and for the pictures the screen is a really great size. The radio is really good too. Sadly, for the video, the quality is only okay. Almost every video you put on it has to be converted, which takes forever, sometimes hours. It's incredibly hard to find video for it anyway, so if u r getting this for video watching don't bother, just get the Zune 2008 for that (about the same price with more space). Warning, although the charger for this is a common cord, not all cords have the same voltage, other cords will destroy it. Use the one it comes with. Besides that, it's extremely durable, I dropped many times and still worked. Very light and thin. It's cool looking too.

I have had the Zen for about 2 weeks and I am still playing around with the features.I love this item but am a little confused as to the best sd card to purchase for the Zen. I still am happy with my selection so far.

I'd give my Zen 32GB 4 stars if it weren't for the fact that it died in just over a year and Creative offers what is bar-none the WORST customer support. I lightly used my Zen for nothing more than audio in my office, and it worked fine until 4 days ago when the infamous white screen of death struck suddenly and without warning.
And for those of you considering purchase of ANY Zen, do your homework. I didn't, and I've subsequently discovered in the last few days that the white screen problem is all-too-frequent and is notoriously avoided by Creative year and year.
Several phone calls (after extremely long wait times) and emails to Creative's tech support ultimately yielded the following verbatim reply. You can decide for yourself how you'd feel in a similar circumstance.
