I bought this some time ago, and at the time there were no reviews on Amazon about the compatibility of it with the Ipod touch. I just want to let everyone know that it does not work with it. It does however charge my 80GB 5G video Ipod. I checked the company's website and there is fine print about it not being compatible.

Took this on a backpacking trip in montana, worked like a charm. After some careful research I found that this is one of the few, if not only battery chargers that actually charge the ipod instead of helping to just maintain the charge.

I can't tell you how many batteries we wasted before we gave up on this charger. Sometimes it gave my daughter's iPod a couple hours of playing time, and sometimes it gave it a few minutes. Very frustrating.

I bought this for a two month trip overseas. I tried on numerous times to charge my iPod touch (2nd generation). Each time it would appear to charge my iPod but did not. Instead I just went through several sets of batteries. I tried ALL the recommendations others have said in their reviews (battery brand, fixing the metal connectors, etc. etc.) but none worked. The worst part of all is seven weeks into my trip the thing overheated and melted in my suitcase! The batters were burnt and I am surprised nothing else was damaged in my suitcase nor did it catch on fire!! The packing material says there is a guarantee for this but the companies website did NOT work when last checked ([...]) This is the only contact information the packaging has. I called Amazon customer service and they themselves did not have any contact information for this company. DO NOT WASTE your money!

Also this is the very first amazon.com review I have submitted because this product really was that bad!

this "Turbo Charger" is total crap. it doesn't work, i put the batteries in and it turned on and i plugged it into my ipod and left it to charge while i was at work, and it hadn't charged it at all. all it does it light up and make a whining sound

So this made my Neo iOn aftermarket iPod adapter/connector charge my iPhone 3GS, the switch from 12V to 5V is complete. However, it does not get rid of the initial "This Accessory was Not Made to work with iPhone. Would you like to turn on Airplane Mode to eliminate any interference?" screen when I plug it in. Charges, yes; aesthetically pleasing, not really; under $20, from another retailer (see Used & New prices).



Something that irked me was the lack of quick release clips, the ones that any other iPod connector has. The adapter inserts snugly into my iPhone for now, but I'm afraid it won't for long. Maybe when the time comes I'll be able to update to a new connector cable, it'll have clips and no bulky extension.

I got nervous because I still got that stupid "Will not charge with this accessory" message when I first connected it, but then I unplugged everything (both sides) for a few seconds and plugged it back in and it's been all good ever since. Whew!

I needed an iphone adapter for my in-car system. I tried the Scosche passport first. The iphone would charge, but the music would cut in and out for some reason. I tried this adapter and it works perfectly. Not sure why they are different. As other reviewers have noted, these adapters seem to work great for some applications and not at all for others.

I've tried two 3GS iPhones with this and the 6FL Y-cable option in a 2009 BMW and it doesn't charge. I will be sending mine back.
