I purchased these speakers because I go to a handful of football games where I tailgate with friends and I was looking for a small portable speaker that I could transmit FM radio to from my phone - that means it was key that these can be operated by battery.



I've been pleased with these so far. I haven't put batteries in yet, but in my at-home testing I've been pleased. Ease of use is great. Pairing it with my phone was very simple...with the unit turned off just hold down 1 button for a few seconds and it enters pairing mode. From there I searched for it on my phone and voila, within seconds I was streaming music from my phone. I also used an audio cable (male to male) going from my MP3 player to these speakers using the "In" jack, and the result was just as good.



As for sound quality, these speakers won't blow you away. The quality is good, considering the price (around $50 or so). It doesn't sound overly "tinny" or scratchy as you increase volume. It can get quite loud, but as you approach max volume the quality noticably deteriorates - as expected...again, these aren't high-end speakers.



I got everything I paid for in these speakers, so I'm very pleased. For me they will only see occasional use, so if you are looking at these as a potential main speaker for music listening, you may want to consider spending more money to get a more complete audio system. But if you're in the market for something quick and easy with pretty decent sound quality and is extremely portable, I'd highly recommend these speakers.

The Sony SRSBTM30 is an excellent product, and at $53.00, it's a great bargain. It took longer to open the packaging than it took to pair these speakers with my phone, and once the music started playing, I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sound. The speakers have excellent range. Everything from Orff's "Carmina Burana" to Jimmy Durante's "As Time Goes By" to Queen's "We Will Rock You" sounded great. The build quality is excellent. The speakers have plenty of power with very good clarity at high volume. The elegant design allows the speakers to sit either horizontally or vertically. Power can be supplied either by batteries or by 100-240 VAC. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

These are decent little speakers for the money. Keep them at a reasonable level, and they sound pretty good. They carry a lot of bass, which makes them sound mucky sometimes, and the midrange is a bit muddled, but for what they are, they're a really good buy. Smaller than they look online, the bongos look is really kinda cool. The best thing about these is the portability and ease of operation. They were very easy to pair with my Samsung Eternity. The only problem I have is that whenever I go out of range or stop streaming for a while, the speakers disconnect and won't automatically reconnect. I have to go into the blutooth menu on my phone to reconnect them. Small thing, though. Decent speakers. I keep mine on top of the kitchen cabinets for easy tunes when I'm doing dishes.

 "Can't recommend these for in ear headphones fans" 2009-10-23

I only use "in ear" style headphones due to the need to block out sound while on my daily mass transit commutes, and I've been the happy owner of a pair of Shure e2c phones (that I lost in a move) and a pair of Etymotic er6i (after about 3 years of use, the right channel wire severed at the 90 degree plastic piece near the plug). After I was unable to repair my er6is, I was in the market for some new phones. I had a pair of Sennheiser mx400 ear buds that I had got for my girlfriend as replacements to her iPod phones, but she didn't like their fit. I like the sound of the mx400s but the fit and lack of an acoustic seal were a problem for me, so I decided to try out the Acoustibuds with the mx400s as a cost-effective new setup.



When I first received the Acoustibuds I was fairly pleased with the fit, as the buds sat comfortably in my ears and didn't move while walking/running. However, the acoustic seal was not nearly as effective as any of the previous in ear phones I've had. One of the selling points of the Acoustibuds is also that they increase bass performance, which I found to be true both for good and for bad. Recordings that had previously seemed a bit "thin" with the mx400s alone now had noticeably fuller bass, however with hip hop and some jazz the bass was too loud and "buzzy" in my ears, which was uncomfortable. With some EQ tweaking it was resolved, but I prefer something more neutral.



My big problem with the Acoustibuds is their durability. These come 4 to a package. 3 weeks after I first started using the Acoustibuds, one developed a crack in the "ring" which encloses the earbud. Within a few days after that the hole had grown to a point where it would no longer stay on the earbud at all and had to be thrown away. I replaced it with one of the remaining Acoustibuds, but again within a few weeks the other "original" Acoustibud seemed to have lost its elasticity in the ring, and continually fell off the earbud. Unsurprisingly it was lost soon thereafter. In less than 2 months I was down to 2 out of the 4 left in the pack.



I decided to superglue the remaining two Acoustibuds to the earbuds, which did seem to help, however in my 4th month of owning them one of the Acoustibuds did crack and fall off, so now I'm left with just one.



In my experience, you'd be much better off taking the money you were considering spending on the Acoustibuds and applying it towards the purchase of an actual pair of in ear headphones.

I was looking for a way to keep my iPod earbuds in my ear on my walks. The product is a great idea, but beware, not everyone's ear canals may be big enough. Even the smallest of the two sizes provided is too large for my ear canals. I have taken a scalpel to one set to remove some of the ribs - it fits a little better, but they're still a pain to insert. Again, I still think the product is a great idea, IF you're lucky enough to have the right size ear canal for them.

I bought these buds to enhance my cell phone bluetooth headset (Jawbone II) as recommended by other users... Boy, what a mistake. I tried the various sizes on the headset, but they just didn't work out like I thought they would. The bud kept slipping out of my ear and the sound quality did not improve. I tried turning the buds to different angles, etc., but nothing seemed to work. I dunno... Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but they were a waste of money for me.

I purchased these for a pair of sport earbuds I own, and they worked wonders. Surprisingly, I have smaller ear canals, but the size 6 pair worked the best. They provide some sound isolation (noise-canceling and those silicone-tipped earbuds are most likely better) but they do increase sound performance from whatever you're listening to. I usually listen to my Nano at about half volume, but I can easily reduce the volume now down to about 1/4 of the way. They're also quite comfortable, and manage to stay in my ears, even with an occasional yank and whatnot. Would recommend these for any and all earbud users; It definitely makes them much more bearable to use!

Only one of the 2 sets would fit in my ears. And while they did give added traction to dollar store headphones to make them fit a little better, they didn't solve the problem. They still would fall out. Although if you used these with a head band over your ears, then you could run and jump and they would stay in :)

 "Hard to get in but stay once there" 2009-06-28

These buds will make the iPhone headphones stay in your ears but you may have trouble inserting them. It takes 2 hands for me to get them comfortably into my ears since they are large. I have to wiggle them into place. Once in my ears, they do enhance the sound but they will not make you forget that you are listening with Apple headphones.



The negative: I cannot get them into my ears fast enough to answer the phone. When the phone rings, I have to unplug, answer then insert the Acoustibuds so I can continue the conversation using the headphones. I wish they were easier to insert.



I also own V-Mode noise canceling headphones which insert quickly and block ALL outside noise. I like that these allow some outside sounds so I am not completely cut off when exercising outdoors.

Great concept but really poor execution or just a lack of variety. The following people have tried the set of earbuds we orderd: myself, my wife, my son, two different neighbors, and my brother. They did not fit comfortably in a single persons' ear. I don't understand, why are we unable to purchase sizes 2,3, or 4? The sizes they send are waaayyyyy to big to the point that they are uncomfortable.



I jammed them into my ear for one run just to see if I could make use of them and my ears hurt for the rest of the night. A great idea but poor execution.

This stereo is outstanding, period. The features that it has plus the ease of use makes this probably the best bluetooth stereo on the market. First of all the blue tooth is fantastic. Within seconds of getting in your vehicle and turning on the power, the stereo finds your phone and connects it automatically, whether you have it in a case, pocket, or whatever. Then your free to receive and make calls, listen to music or whatever. My number one concern would be whether it worked with the iphone? Well if that is you question, I can answer it for you. Yes it does. You can receive calls, make calls, and use voice control right from the receiver. There is no need to touch your phone.



Second it has a USB port on the front of the receiver. You can connect just about any device to it that has a USB. They say that you can connect the iphone for more control, but I am happy using it through the bluetooth. One thing I do love about the USB port is that you can listen to digital music with a thumb drive. Since my entire music collection is digital now, I just bought a big enough thumb drive to hold my collection, now I have my entire music collection on my vehicle stereo without carrying around one CD. You can control folders, files and names straight from the receiver. It will display the folder name, and the song name and artist on the receiver.



Now if you have a passenger in your car who doesn't have bluetooth or USB but wants you to listen to something on their MP3 player, this receiver has an auxillary port. Just plug your phone, MP3 player, or other device using the input and you are good to go



Being that it has so many features and controls, you will need to take a few minutes to learn how to operate all of the features. Once you do its a breeze. With these features and this price, you can't go wrong.



Oh it does have a CD player on it and I have listened to it to make sure it works, but there are so many other convenient ways to listen to music that you will forget all about CD's and the player.

It is very good unit and works with the iphone via usb cable for music and bluetooth for phone. The problem is that it does not seamlessly transition between these modes. I believe this will be corrected when the iphone can stream bluetooth music but this feature is not available yet. If the iphone is connected via cable the bluetooth connection will block the music. If the phone is connected without bluetooth and music comes from the iphone it will cut the music but you must answer the phone directly.

In all other ways this stereo met and exceeded my expectations. I was also very impressed with Crutchfield instructions. The installation went smoothly. It does play music from the iphone with very high fidelity. Handsfree seems to work well though I haven't tried it on the interstate.

works flawlessly. Bluetooth pairing is automatic and immediate (seconds) after pairing for the first time. After pairing and while streaming wirelessly go ahead and plug in that USB to charge and control your iPhone through the radio as well as see the track being played.



I maxed this radio out with the SiriusConnect(tm) tuner and adapter package for Sony. (dumped my old plug and play) and yeah..... I'm loving that feature too! 18 FM and 18 SIRI presets along with my jailbroken iPhone tunes PLUS Slacker and I can drive to Austrailia without running out of fresh music!



The blue illumination is not as distracting as I have read in other reviews and my radio sits high on the dash. Nor is the computerized jingle/warning the radio emits when turning off the device.



Setup was a breeze even with my hitching up the Satellite Radio Package and Crutchfield Customer Service was very helpful with confirming my wiring hook up. Price here is excellent but you're going to need an in-dash receiver kit, vehicle specific wiring harness and most likely a DIN tool. Hence my one stop shop at Crutchfield. Oh and their Custom MasterSheet(tm) instructions are priceless!

I got this head unit because I got an iphone 3GS (previous iphone models do not have Bluetooth audio streaming (A2DP)) and wanted something that would give me as many options of integrating it with the car stereo as possible without spending a ton of money. I also didn't want to have to pay extra for the bluetooth attachments that you have to add on to the bluetooth ready head units.



-BLUETOOTH AUDIO STREAMING

The audio bluetooth streaming is great sound quality is very good (I am not a picky audiophile so can't say if sensitive ears would notice anything wrong with the quality), I actually listen to local radio stations through their internet streams through the iphone then bluetoothed to the car stereo because its better sound quality then what I get out of the tuner (any tuner not just this one, I live in a bad radio reception area between 2 markets). The stereo usually picks up my phone (for both phone and audio) within 30 seconds of turning on the car. I have had to reset the bluetooth (takes about 20 seconds, push one button twice) every few weeks because it will start to get skippy but it is a pretty minor inconvenience. Listening to Pandora through the Iphone to the car stereo is awesome, and has greatly improved my commute.



-Bluetooth Phone connection

Connects within 30 seconds of starting the car. Sound quality is good. And the microphone that is built in actually works well, this shocked me I was sure I would have to either yell or buy an external mic but the one that comes in the head unit picks up my voice fine I have not had a complaint about people on the other end of the call not being able to hear me. Another good thing about the mic being built in is that it saved me $60 on the installation that they would have charged me to install an external mic. The transition between phone call and what was playing before the call is automatic and fluid.



-USB input

I have not gotten a chance to use this because the bluetooth has worked well. It would be nice if it had a USB on the back of the unit in addition to the one on the front so that you could run a wire hidden behind the console plastic and have it connect where ever you wanted it to without it cluttering up the car (that is the main reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars).





Overall I love this unit because it was fairly cheap and it does exactly what I wanted it to do in respect to integrating with my Iphone.

I have to say this is a great unit for the price and functions it has to offer.



I have used it in my car to transmit Bluetooth sound from my LG Env Touch

to my car stereo. I was able to use my 4.5 volt Sony CD car adaptor for power.

In another vehicle I used a cassette adapter with 3.5 mini coupler to connect

the transmitter.



I have used it as a transmitter for watching TV.



I buy most of my stuff at Amazon. However I purchased a refurb unit elsewhere

for [...]. :-) It works good!

No problems setting it. At first my bluetooth headphones didn't match and they were like 20cm away. The manual said "put the devices closer". I though 20cm was more than enough and simply the devices were unexpectedly incompatible (SONY DR-BT50 headphones) but then putting them at 10cm or so made them pair.

And since them, voilà.

The Sony Two-Way Bluetooth Adapter for iPod and MP3 Players is a good receiver, I told that because I only use this itme like receiver. The item is very easy to use, is compact and have a excellent quality of sound (I think that this depend of the quality of music used, I use the 260 Kbps to 320 Kbps), this item have only one trouble, the out line volume is low, more than normal, so if you have a good amplifier system, maybe this can't be a problem for you. The real distance for this item works fine is 5 mts



I didn't use this item like transmitter.

The reason I bought this unit was to use it as a Bluetooth receiver, with its audio output connected to the input jack of my stereo. My plan was to route a music stream from my computer, out of its USB port via a Bluetooth transmitter dongle. I was able to pair the transmitter dongle with the Sony Bluetooth receiver, and the Sony showed up in my Vista list of Bluetooth devices properly as an "audio sink". The problem is that I can't figure out how to make the Sony receiver show up in the Windows list of sound output devices, which makes it impossible to direct the computer's sound stream to the Sony. I searched the web and found several people with this same problem, but no viable solutions. Suggestions, anyone? My only thought is to buy a second Sony unit & connect it to the computer's analog sound output as a Bluetooth transmitter, then pair it to the first Sony unit which is configured as a Bluetooth receiver connected to the stereo. But it seems inelegant (and noisey) to take a digital audio stream from the internet, convert it to analog at the computer's output, then re-digitize it for Bluetooth wireless transmission, then re-convert it to analog for the stereo input. Not to mention the expense of having to buy a second Sony unit. Here's the deal, Sony: tell me how to fix this problem without having to buy a second Bluetooth tranceiver, and I will raise this review to 5 stars!

Connects easily, keeps being paired with Sony DRBT140Q Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headset even after I disconnect it from iPhone and connect it my iPod.



Big Con: you can only use your iPhone as an iPod using this adapter (listening to music or podcasts). It does not allow you to use your headset for telephony. Thus the mic functionality of my headset is wasted.



To be fair: this is not a problem of Sony, it is iPhone Gen1's and 3G's lack of support for A2DP protocol. If you have 3GS - you don't need this device. Apple made A2DP available in 3GS.

I got this to go with my motorola S9-HD, because of the good reviews, and Motorola's BT transmitter was not very good. Sony did a very good job with this, does not drain the battery excessively, transmits well and easy to set up. What more could you ask for.

Works with original iPhone using the Motorola S9-HD headphones; the transmitter that came with the headset does not work with the original iPhone. The only issue I'm having is constant break-up between transmitter and headphones when I'm in motion (not sure if it is the transmitter or the headphones). I like the small size of the unit, and pairing is a breeze.

This products works reliably and is easy to pair with other bluetooth devices. Best of all, it has no internal battery that needs to be charged, taking the very little power it needs from the connected iPod. I have not noticed any meaningful decrease in the iPod's battery life from the use of this transmitter.

i got a factory remanfacured one only issue i had was i lost the manual, or it did not come with it. either way its not a problem if ur reading this because saony had a acrobat version of the manual on the web sight. been testing it all day in work to doing my landuary i will have to charge my ipod every day now but i do this any way would have been nice to have it charge while charging the ipod but for 33 with expadataited shipping i can handle it and that is going on the side of nit picking. usally blue tooth and all wire less has problems going throught solid objects, like your body, so having it in a bad wouldf make it hard to here. well not for me i walked about a mile with it in a back backl with no problems. it does disconnect as well often but thats cuz it seems to have an auto shut off when your not pklaying music, can be annoying if your working but its good if you leave it alone and for get to turn off due to it draws from the ipod battery
