This is my 3rd iPod and my second Nano. I like the new form factor (I had the square one before) and the shiny new colors are beautiful.
The video camera is a cool addition. I'm not a heavy user of that feature, but since I'm carrying the device everywhere, it's kinda nice to always have a way to capture the moment. Too bad there's no photo camera, but the device is way too thin to accomodate (a good) one.
With the addition of the camera, the device has also gained a speaker. In some instances this is really neat (being in the park with my girlfriend, listening to music together). But whereas it was usually not a huge problem if the device accidentally started in your pocket, this now makes you look like a real moron :-D. Sure, I should lock it. But I forget sometimes.
Also, when using the standard Apple docking station, the device does not send the audio to the line-out. That really sucks.
I'm not sure about the built-in motion sensor. The shuffle function (shaking the device) makes you look like a moron (that's #2). The cover view function that automatically comes on in landscape mode is neat but doesn't work that well. The pedometer is nice, but I think it really drains the battery. Leaves us with the maze game... which is awesome :-).
Talking about games; I cannot figure out which iTunes store games are for Nano. I'm afraid they're 98% touch apps, and I can't find a product filter.
For the rest, it's awesome. I use it a lot on the road and for running (with Nike+). For that it's the best option available, I think. And it's an iPod. So it must be cool ;-)

This is a great product. It is currently the newest version of iPod and is easy to use. Purchasing this iPod through Amazon was the lowest price I could find on the internet.

The Ipod nano is great for storing music and even takes own video. I still havent transferred this back to my PC and wonder who the resolution will be, but that is anyway jsut an extra on top of the storage of recorded music and movies. Nice little item that is great on travels (except for battery only lasting 3 hours).

I bought this device to replace my iPod video mainly for the physical size when I am active (biking, working out, etc.) Size wise, this thing is awesome, but there are several software differences between my older iPod that are kind of annoying.
1) The screen orientation changes as you rotate the device and that also brings out the cover flow feature. Until I found were in the settings to disable that, it was extremely annoying because of item #2.
2) Sometimes, for no particular reason, it decides to change tracks on me. I listen to audio books a lot and while having a Jimmy Buffett song break in once and a while isn't that objectionable, when I'm riding it is, because I have to stop to reset it back to my book.
3) When you press the center button, a super annoying voice announces the track title, etc. But the sound keeps on playing behind it. Sometimes when I think I've hit the pause button, I've apparently also hit the center one as well, and I end up not pausing the track but also have it keep playing while this is being announced. So far I have found no way to disable this.
Overall, its an iPod and the music quality is great. I guess I will just hope and pray that some of this gets corrected in a firmware update some time soon.
