I bought this with confidence from all the positive reviews and I was truly pleased with my decision. This iPod speaker is perfect! It comes with about 8 different sized holders for any model of iPod and the connector also slides to make that perfect fit. It also charges the iPod while playing, which is a must. It sounds just like a CD and I love that it comes with a remote so I don't always have to go to it to change the song. I found that it is easier to navigate between playlists on the iPod itself than on the remote. One feature that I love is the blue LED light that luminates from the clock. It creates a cool blue night light for my kitchen. For the price, this can't be beat! Buy one! You will not be disappointed.

Do NOT order from BargainCell. The item they will send you isn't the item pictured, nor is it an Apple product as suggested in the product description and the "Other Products By Apple" line. The picture of the item by the product description looks exactly like the cable which came with my iPhone. However, what BargainCell sent me was a very cheap looking cable with bulky connectors which you have to squeeze to insert and remove the cable. I don't know if it works since there is no way I'm going to risk damaging my iPhone by using this cheap looking cable. I can't believe Amazon would allow a seller to so totally misrepresent an item like this. I guess I'll have to look elsewhere.

After my iPhone cable -- that came with the phone mind you -- came apart at both ends I found this product. I figured I'd give it a try since the "official" Apple cable sucked so bad (lasted less than 7 months) I didn't care if this was an no name brand.



I got mine from inspiretech and I was happy to receive an official Apple cable. I assume it is an official one anyway-- it actually has an Apple logo stamped on it. It is better build quality than the cheapo one that came with my iPhone. I would recommend this one with no reservations. The only thing missing was the fancy Apple retail box (whoopie).

I bought this so I could travel more safely while using my iPhone.



My car does NOT have a center console where I could set my phone while driving, so I would lay the phone on my passenger seat (if no one was sitting in it), or I would ask my passenger to hold it. That got old pretty quickly.



I found this through searching here on Amazon.

I read the product features, I read the user reviews. I bought it.



I LOVE this holder!



I have it positioned on the left side of my windshield, closest to the side rear-view mirror (just above my inspection sticker) attached to the windshield. That way it is close at hand, but NOT in my line of site.



The suction cup keeps it there - without fail! I can even leave it there when I place my full-windshield sunshield into position.



The bottom of the holder has movable "legs" that I can rotate in or out as needed.



The side "arms" open easily, yet hold securely.



I just loop my (2) cords onto the support arm when I am not using the holder - which is almost like a bonus to me, as I had nowhere to store the power cord and/or input cord (I have a cassette player in the car, so I still use the cassette adapter to listen to my iPod thru the car's stereo).



Overall this was WELL worth the money I paid for it. Quite simply, I am a safer more organized driver due to using this holder. Thanks Kensington!

It's hard to imagine an iPhone/iPod car mount designed any better than this. I've had this product for about 3 months, and the suction cup has not failed at all. The arm is long and stiff, so it stays exactly the way your form it. You can remove your iPhone/iPod by pulling up and detaching the unit with the cradle (convenient for when you need to do something on the unit and then put it back right away). When you're getting out of the car, just hit the quick release button on the back and your iPhone/iPod falls right into your hand.

The mount itslef is built well and has good features. The part that attaches to your iPhone is removable frm the rest of the mount. It has good suction to the window. Also it clamps onto your iPhone with sufficiant strength. Also if your iPhone is in a case you will have no problem fitting it in the mount. The bad part is that it does shake a lot. I've solved this problem by putting a S curve in it to shorten it's length and positioned it so the end where my iPhone mounts rests agaist my A pillar. Also it comes with Velcro if you want to mount the phone holder part straight to your dash. If I had to do it over again I probably would go with Kensington's other mount. I forgot to add that you will have no problem plugging in your phone while it's in the mount.

I bought this for my 16GB 4G Nano. I like that it has a belt clip and makes my ipod just a little bigger. I'm having trouble getting it snapped all the way on; there is one spot that won't snap in. Because its clear, I can't tell which way to push it to get it snapped. I also didn't realize from the picture that it doesn't cover the screen. I was trying to find something that would protect the screen because it bounces around in my backpack with other things. Good product, just not exactly what I was looking for.

It stays on the iPod by snapping the front side to the back side. They two sides do not stay together for more than a minute - any movement will separate them.



Most importantly - the cover gets in the way of the cables (especially the charging cable). As a result the charging cable sits crookedly when connected. This will eventually short out the cable or iPod because you have a bad contact. Piece of junk - not worth the money even if it is a penny.

Mine lasted about 3 weeks and then the clip broke off while I was running. I tried to super glue it back together, but it would not stay. I am still probably going to try to use it for running by sticking the ipod in my waistband (I wear stretchy pants to run) and the cover should protect it from sweat. I hate those arm bands so I hope it works.

The belt clip on mine broke off within a couple of weeks but it has prevented my iPod from getting scratched at all. I can put my iPod in my pocket with my keys without worrying.



I recently dropped my iPod on the the cement and the case cracked but the iPod was unharmed.



This case isn't the highest quality but it's a cheap way to keep your iPod free of scratches.

Took about five minutes to install after skimming through the instruction manual. Product description ("Universal remote... for select Yamaha receivers." WHICH selected receivers??? I have no desire in playing iPod video on a 46 inch screen so it will be a while before features or limitations involving video become apparent. For now, it work with my receiver and my remote and Dire Straits sound good as ever.

I recently bought my first iPod (had a Zen MP3 player before this) and wanted portable speakers that could go with us on trips where we often stay in B&B-type lodgings that don't have TV or other media in the room. Also wanted something for the car other than an FM-transmitter which does not work well in the NYC-area due to the enormous number of stations on the radio and very little "open" space on the dial. We don't have a CD-player in our car or a plug in for an iPod.



I bought this directly from the Apple Store at the same time I bought my iPod Classic and paid more than I should have, obviously. Still they were the best deal for true portability. I was amazed at how small they were when I opened the package and even more amazed at the relatively big sound quality when I plugged the iPod in. Much, much better than the portable speakers I had for my Zen. And I didn't even need to charge them -- they were fully charged out of the box. The little bag they came with is great -- the whole package fits neatly in my purse.



A few days later, we were off on a much-needed mini-vacation in the country. Sadly, while there, I fell and broke my ankle. I then had to endure a 2 1/2 hour car trip home, stretched out on the back seat of the car with my leg in a very uncomfortable position. I whipped out the little speakers; laid them on the back seat next to me; plugged in the iPod, and the setup proceeded to relieve both my pain and my boredom (and my poor husband's boredom while he was doing a "Driving Miss Daisy" chauffeur routine for me). The sound was great -- very clear -- and fairly loud considering how small they are. He could hear great up in front, and I was nicely distracted sitting in the back.



So these cute little life-savers get a "thumbs up" from me. Can't wait to take another long car trip so we can use them some more.

These are smaller than I thought they would be. That being said the sound that they prduce is better than what I expected for speakers their size. Very conveinient to carry to the pool or while detailing the car. The little carry bag that comes with it holds everything nicely. Not a room speaker system but great for what they were made for.

I'm not going to rehash what a lot of people have already said about the speakers. They sound decent, especially considering their size. I think you can get a lot more sound out of full size speakers, especially for the $50, but if you want portability, these are nice.



The con, and to me it is a big one, is the hissing noise. I plugged these in to my MacBook pro and the noise was audible but bearable. On my Mac Mini, the hiss turned into a loud whine, and it was as annoying as stinky wolfbreath.



Now, others have said the battery charge lasts for a while. That may be true. But I hate having to find an open USB port to charge something up when I am NOT on the road. That's just plain annoying. I would prefer to just leave the USB plug in a USB port, and only worry about charging when I travel. Unfortunately this is not the case with these speakers.
