You get what you pay for!
I cant think of anything positive on these speakers. No tweeters, no bass. Does not sound clear at all. Pay a little extra and get the Logitech Z-2300

You're not going to find a better sounding system for the money anywhere. We use it in our living room connected to laptop listening to music and audio books and we love them. Full rich sound for both types of media.

X-240 2.1 = Great computer speakers
Really a terrific set of speakers. The iPod charging station makes it a great addition to your desk setup. Truly a great design and package.
